Sunless Tanning FAQs

Everything you need to know about your airbrush or spray tan.

Before Your Session

  • When should I book my tan for an event?

We recommend tanning 1–2 days before your event for the most natural, even color.

  • How often can I tan?

You can spray or airbrush tan once a week. Exfoliate before your next visit to remove any leftover color.

  • What should I wear?

You may wear a swimsuit, underwear, or go nude, whatever you’re comfortable with. Disposable garments are available.

  • Is tanning safe?

Yes. Our Norvell solutions are FDA-approved, vegan, cruelty-free, and made with DHA derived from sugarcane.

After Your Session

  • How long does a tan last?

Airbrush tans typically last 7–10 days, while spray booth tans last 5–7 days, depending on skin type and care routine.

  • When can I shower?

Wait at least 10–12 hours (or 3 hours for express formulas) before your first rinse.

  • Can I work out after tanning?

Wait until after your first shower to exercise or sweat. Friction and perspiration can cause fading or streaking.

  • Can I get my nails done after tanning?

Yes, wait until after your first shower. Avoid acetone or heavy exfoliation during polish changes.

Norvell solutions are paraben-free, gluten-free, and nut-allergen-free. They are not certified organic but use clean, plant-based ingredients for optimal results.

We recommend Norvell’s Amber Sun Color Extender or Daily Moisturizer — formulated to extend your tan’s life and maintain hydration.
